Love is triumphant!

Engagements and Ceremonies

amid COVID-19

Mrs&Mrs

First off… if you and your loved one has been put in this position, my sincerest condolences are with you during this time. However, there are tons of people still out there planning their weddings, proposals, and even some who have gotten engaged through these changing times we have all rapidly adapted to, because your love is triumphant!

There are many still planning their weddings, engagements, and elopements amidst covid-19, and many weddings to be celebrated once our current generations pandemic has slowed down.

So what does that look like?

  • Postponements

  • Engagements at home

  • Elopements

  • Venue Changes

& Not to mention Wearing Masks!

Although this doesn’t feel the same right now, we will all eventually be with most the people we love, while celebrating our love for one another. One of the most important factors to keep in mind is to hire appropriately.

Find a wedding planner who gets you and understands your overall wedding vision. This is key as you will have little time to make decisions and you will need someone who can suggest one or two vendors who completely match your style, budget and personality. No planner? No problem! Your professional photographer should also be able to reccomend vendors in their areas for you as well.

Trust all your vendors! After months of no weddings, florists will be exploding with creativity, photographers will be shooting their best shots and wedding planners will take full control, let them!

So how and what do we do now?

Celebrate those moments - don’t focus on just staying at home! Try to not let the stress of everything eat you away. Yes, as we wait - our minds start to wonder, will weddings ever be the same? Will 150-400 people ever want to be in a room dancing closely again?

YES!

Yes, we will get back to weddings the way they have been for hundreds of years. You know why, because milestones like this are what we live for. We live to celebrate all the amazing accomplishments, relationships and milestones in each other’s lives, and we live to do so with the ones closest to us.

For many people across the country, stay at home orders are being lifted and we are all returning to a new way of normal. Now is a time for you to focus on those moments and that feeling of love and abundance you have when you’re with that person that makes your feet melt and your heart pound.

Here are a few tips to help you navigate through this time:

Q: I have had to reduce my guest list, do you have any recommendations on including those people?

A: Yes, If you’re not able to keep your guest list, the preferred option is to live stream! This is where our technology comes in handy, there are several platforms to do this on such as Zoom, YouTube, or Facebook. We also are making contacts with vedors upon booking to help make this as streamlined into everyone’s itinerary.

Q: If I can’t reduce my guest list, is it better to postpone or cancel my wedding?

A: If you’re not able to keep your wedding date, the preferred option is to postpone and reschedule your wedding date within a year of the original date. Canceling should be the very last, no-other-option choice. You’ll likely end up saving money by postponing rather than canceling + rehiring your vendors.

Q: What if we are not planning on sending out mailers? (I.E Invitations)

A: Easy-Peasy, digital invitations and a wedding page are a must! This way you can keep your guests updated with every change without breaking the bank. Our Legacy package includes a custom website with RSVP capabilities to make life a bit easier.

PRO TIP:

A lot of our couples are willing to change their venue date, but not willing to budge on their photographer, so that would be the person you check for availability with first.

In regards to rescheduling your wedding in general, take a look at the most important parts of your wedding and go from there. Is the wedding venue the most important aspect to you? If so, find a date that they're available and then check with your vendors and vice versa.

Communication and Thoughtfulness go a long way with both your vendors and your partner.
