Torres : Uncorked

Hello and Welcome,

I’m a bit of an artsy gypsy. I trust my soul to guide me in all walks of life, and from as early as I can remember it has told me to pick up a camera. Some of this pull comes from the fact that the science of cameras and photography is freaking rad (I mean who thought to expose raw film to light for a fraction of a second to create a picture?!?!?)

Most of it comes from the desire to capture the most important moments of my own life so that I can look back, reminisce, cherish, and pass down those memories to my family. At several points in my life my entire living room wall has been decorated with hundreds pictures of my friends and family on Polaroids.

My love for film developed at a young age though seeing various small portraits my grandparents throughout their lives during both wars. Although my son never had the opportunity to meet my grandparents, I get to show him pictures and tell him stories about how wonderful they were to show him that preservation of memories and heirlooms and very important.

People joke that my camera is an extension of my body, but I feel as if it’s really it’s an extension of my soul, and my soul tells me every to capture timeless moments, even if they are not my own. This desire radiates in everything I do Some people choose science as a way to help others Some people choose art It just so happens I chose both I only hope to help others capture their moments like I capture mine.

Thank you for being a part of my #TFAfamily I do hope that you stick around and take a new adventure with us :)
