Thank for supporting Empire of Missed Chances, an exploration of gender identity in ekphrasis. In the first installment of the series, Manual for Masculinty, Torres and Yevtushenko combine their disciplines to focus on the meaning of masculinity. Issues of gender identity and definition have dominated countless political and cultural conversations. Before work on this volume began neither Zhenya nor Megan explored the definition and limitations of masculinity within their creative practices. They hope that this project furthers dialogue about gender.
